PIER 39 - San Francisco Reviews

It was a nice walk along the pier. All the attractions are for the tourist. There is a 7d movie you can watch and an aquarium as well. You can take a boat tour for $15 around Alcatraz and golden gate. Parking could be expensive near the pier. I suggest parking under the hotel at beach street thru spot hero for just $12 for 8 hrs. Which is a 7 min walk from the pier 39. We were short on time and went there on Monday evening. My daughter had fun jumping on trampoline and taking a ride on carousel. Towards the back of the pier there a lot of photo opportunities if you go on right time of the day. Fortunately we were able to witnesses a beautiful sunset over the bay and full moon over the mountains at the same time. Overall a wonderful experience. I would visit again if i ever go to San Fran.

Deserves a nice walk throughout and really a great place to visit. If you haven't been, do it at least once. Coming to the Pier during a weeknight in the fall and winter provides some great rest and relaxation with very minimal traffic.

I remember when Bob McIntosh first envisioned PIER 39 in the 70s, he and his team were brilliant! Always popular with both tourists and locals PIER 39 is NOT to be missed! PIER 39 is the premiere entertainment destination in the heart of the San Francisco waterfront. Along with two levels of dining, entertainment, shopping and attractions both on The PIER and in San Francisco Bay, PIER 39 is home to the world-famous sea lions, who have been delighting guests daily at K-Dock since 1990. The PIER is a gathering place for millions of guests annually. With picture perfect views of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, Alcatraz and the city skyline at almost every turn, it is easy to see why PIER 39 has recently been named the most visited attraction in San Francisco for the ninth consecutive year. In September of 2018, PIER 39 was named a Legacy Business by the City of San Francisco. A visit to San Francisco starts at The PIER!

Must visit place in San Francisco. It is more than just a pier. It is a cool place for shopping, eating, entertainment and more. There are a lot of different stores, restaurants, cafes here. Some stores offer pretty good discounts. You can also find here an art gallery, spa, The Aquarium of the Bay (a great attraction for the whole family) and even the spot from where you can watch Sea Lions.

Very pleasant walk through the pier. It offered a lot of shops including ice cream shops, donuts, gift shops/jewelry etc... pretty cool atmosphere. At the end of the pier you can get a very nice view of the Alcatraz island and the bay areas. Around the corner you can watch sea lions bath in the sun.
